Our Horses

Horses

Our large family of much loved horses come from all over NSW, all being picked for their temperament alone. They consist of a large family of Draft-Cross horses, all from the same Stallion "Monty" a magnificent Draft-Cross sire, who was crossed with Stockhorse, Thoroughbred and Arab.

We also have an array of Australian Stockhorses , some thoroughbreds and of course the very well known pure white Apoloosa "Jeffrey"!

Our regular riders have their own favourites but it's very hard to pick any 'stand outs' as they are all so great in their own right.

When they are not working they are allowed to be horses . With over 800 acres to graze on and be a part of a 'mob'. Of an evening and their days off they can relax and do their own thing, grazing and chatting about the people they have met on their backs while 'at work'!

We take great care to maintain their health and well-being which shows when you are around them.

It is very hard to not to love these animals which have been so good to us 'two leggeds' over so many centuries!

"Alladin", Bellrowan's colt, is to be the new sire, keeping the trusted bloodline going. Alladin is the last known colt of this lineage. He is of the same type of breeding as the famous 'Whaler' made famous by the Australian Lighthorse, he is a mixture of Draft, Stockhorse and Arab. Alladin has been chosen for his loving temperament and superb conformation, he will be used as a sire for our future riding horses and offered to those who wish to breed a Bellrowan-type horse of their own. Not only will he be used as a sire but he will be broken-in to be used as one of our guide horses leading the many trails throughout Bellrowan Valley and surrounds.

Come and meet Bellrowan's mob and get a birds-eye view over this beautiful piece of Australia's Mid North Coast.

Some of our horses are pictured below.

If you have been riding here at Bellrowan and you would like a photo of the horse that you rode, just email us and we will email you back with a photo.
